Jarrett Is 2!!!!

Well, on April 4th Jarrett became a big 2 year old little boy!!! We had a party at our house with a few family members. The kids had a great time getting to play. Jarrett had a blast playing, eating his spongebob cake, and opening gifts! I'm putting up a few pics of the big event! Such a big boy now!!!

Blog Blocked!!

Okay, so I knew it would come to an end, but our school has blocked this site! So, I can no longer keep up with my blogging on my breaks at work!!! So, yes, I'm not doing a very good job!!

Grandmother's Birthday

Grandma had a wonderful time at her surprise birthday! She loved everything we all had done for her! She is very excited about getting to see all her grandkids and great-grandkids this summer. She just could not believe that we would all try to get together for her. She LOVED IT! As usual, I'm posting from work and can not post pictures right now. I will try to post them as soon as possible.

Lone Grove Tornado

Okay, so most everyone knows that a tornado hit our town last week. Well, exactly one week ago from today! I'm happy to be able to report that none of our students lost their lives, but we did have parents that were lost and LOTS of students that lost their homes. I will post some pictures when I can. I'm at work right now and will have to do it at home. I have never lived so close to where a tornado has hit before. It was and continues to be so scary. We're so nervous about the weather right now. It has been cloudy and a little rainy for a couple of days now, and we're all looking at the radar to see if anything is supposed to come this way. I don't know when that will stop. One little boy in Delaney's class lost his home. She still doesn't completely understand what that means and what is all going on right now. I'm not hiding anything from her and I've even taken the kids through the disaster zone to see the damage. I think it is very important to use this as a teaching tool as to have respect for Mother Nature. I haven't been freaking out in front of the kids and such, so I guess that's why Delaney has been taking everything so well. She just keeps asking if we've ever had one when she was a little baby. Not sure were that came from???? But, if everyone would please pray for the families that lost loved ones and for the families that have lost everything else. I will post the pictures, but they do not compare to seeing it with your own eyes. It makes me cry every time--like right now.

February!!! and.....

Oh My Goodness!!! It's February already?!?!?! The time is just flying by so fast! I can not believe how quickly 2009 is going by for me. In just two months, I'll have a little boy turning 2! It doesn't even seem as though Jarrett should be turning 1 and he's turning 2! WOW! Boy, I've really got to get to work on getting myself into an acceptable shape! I really would like to be able to wear a swimsuit this summer. The kids are going to take swim lessons and I'll have to get into the pool with Jarrett this time! Plus next January is our 10 year wedding anniversary and we're wanting to take a trip somewhere warm. And, of course, we would like to look good for that as well. But you know how it is, you keep thinking that January is so far away, and then the next thing you know it's December! Okay, so I think I need some accountability. So, maybe if I document my 'success' (I'm trying to be positive here) I'll be better to stick with it. So I guess I'll start trying to do that. Maybe I could get some of my family to do this with me: Whatcha' think Kelly????!!!!
